The Department of Cardiovascular has an exciting opportunity for a Per Diem APRN to work in UTower. The “APRN” is responsible for the direct and indirect care of his/her assigned patients, and the supervision of assigned personnel. He/she will also report to the medical director and nursing director. The position requires the ability to assess patient's condition, formulate a plan of care, and evaluate a patient's response to care and treatment. Responsible for the continuous development and ongoing clinical management of the patients in UHealth system. This will be accomplished while carrying out the Mission, Goals and Objectives of University of Miami Hospital, while focusing on the patients, physicians and the employees as customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Current/valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license from the state of Florida. Must be credentialed to practice by Hospital Medical Board.

Certifications:

BLS and ACLS certification required.

Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners preferred.

Experience:

Minimum three (3)years’ experience as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPC-AG) and greater five (5) years in ICU- cardiac or cardiothoracic preferred.
