ABOUT THE ROLE

The People Operations Generalist plays a vital role in the delivery of complex, high-volume people processes across the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a wealth of HR knowledge and experience and great at supporting ongoing HR needs. You are the go-to person for any employee issues and balance compliance and policies with an exceptional customer service approach.

The People Operations Generalist is a strategic thinker who enthusiastically leads HR projects, ensuring they are completed on time and aligned with company goals. You will mentor junior team members, collaborate with peers to create a positive work environment, and act as experts in handling HR cases, workflows, and data. You drive consistency and compliance, helping to scale service delivery across Anduril’s workforce by translating policy and systems into high-quality outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Process Ownership & Service Delivery

  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for employees and managers, providing assistance, effectively gathering context or information, and resolving issues.
  • Provide support to People Business Partners (PBP) by facilitating HR processes, assisting in strategic projects, and compiling data to inform decision-making.
  • Act as a bridge between strategic PBP needs and operational excellence by spotting areas for improvement, collaboratively designing solutions, and training stakeholders on tools, systems, and best practices to enable self-sufficiency and scale.
  • Own and execute complex employee lifecycle processes within the HRIS for your aligned groups (e.g., internal transfers, offboarding, job and compensation changes).
  • Manage and execute offboarding process with thoroughness and attention to detail, guaranteeing a smooth transition for exiting staff.
  • Document, maintain, and communicate core HR processes to stakeholders, managers, and employees.

Project Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to or lead medium-scale People Operations initiatives (e.g., process redesigns, policy rollouts, template standardization).
  • Support implementation of new tools and automations by stress-testing workflows and providing insights to PeopleOS and People Data teams.
  • Lead HR projects and initiatives, conduct periodic audits for data accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor junior HR team members and collaborate with People Operations leadership to align strategies and initiatives.
  • Maintain and develop offboarding materials, processes, and documentation.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with PBPs on the tactical execution of sensitive but non-strategic matters (e.g., low-risk involuntary exits, org updates).
  • Support with data gathering, workflow input, and field execution of programs (e.g., performance cycles, compensation changes).
  • Triage and route employee escalations appropriately.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in HR or People Operations.
  • Deep familiarity with core HR systems and processes (Rippling, Workday, or equivalent HRIS strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance practices, especially in high-growth or global environments.
  • Ability to be on-site and local in Boston, MA. 
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with structured data.
  • Commitment to excellence, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
  • Discretion; understanding of how to maintain confidentiality, while also recognizing what needs to be escalated.
  • Ability to function independently and problem-solve with minimal or no direction.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
