About the role

Who We Are
At Framework, we believe the time has come for products that are designed to last. Founded in San Francisco in 2019, our mission is to remake Consumer Electronics to respect people and the planet.
We've started with two award-winning products, the Framework Laptop 13 and 16. Our laptops are thin, light, high-performance notebooks that can be upgraded, customized, and repaired in ways that no other notebook can. Alongside this, we've launched the Framework Marketplace to enable an ecosystem of parts and modules. We've seen a fantastic reception to both of our laptops from customers and reviewers from outlets like Linus Tech Tips, Ars Technica, and multiple Wirecutter reviews (including a recommendation among the best Windows Ultrabooks of 2024), along with making TIME's Best Inventions lists in 2021 and 2023. As a company, we were #35 on Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2022.
We come from successful consumer electronics startups including the founding team of Oculus, and have closed multiple rounds of funding to fuel our roadmap. Even better (and maybe unusually for an early stage startup), we're in a financially healthy position going forward off of our product revenue. We care deeply about building a diverse and inclusive team, and we hope you do too!
We are looking for an ambitious People Operations and Office Coordinator who is excited to make an impact at the intersection of people, culture, and operations. In this role, you will be a key member within the People Operations (POPs) team, focusing 60% of your efforts on People Ops initiatives and 40% on Office Management. You will take ownership of office management, ensuring our SF office is a welcoming and functional place that reflects and amplifies our culture, contributing to thoughtful people initiatives that enhance our employee experience, and collaborating across departments on ad-hoc projects.
If you’re someone who is energized by the challenges of supporting a growing, multi-faceted startup, takes pride in building efficient systems/workflows, and enjoys collaborating with teams to solve problems, this may be your kind of role.
This role is a full-time hybrid role based on-site at our SF office ~3 days per week and remote for the remaining days in the week.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our SF office, including maintaining supplies, office cleanliness, office inventory, etc. to ensure it is a welcoming, safe, and functional place for all visitors and employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SF office-related queries, managing office supplies, inventory, and cleanliness, and support special requests as they arise.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including coordinating shipping, tracking, and receiving shipments through FedEx or other courier services.
  • Manage and track inventory of all products, prototypes, and materials to support various cross-functional team needs.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations team to plan and coordinate employee engagement events within our SF office (e.g. seasonal decor, team workshops).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to People Operations documentation (e.g. company policies, benefits) and escalating complex issues to the appropriate team member as needed.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations team to support aspects of the employee lifecycle including (but not limited to) coordination within recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support logistics for internal event planning and company functions, such as holiday parties, team workshops, and on-site team building events.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations team to develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for team policies and workflows, and to update them as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to Framework cross-functional teams on an ad-hoc basis.
