Meet Your Future Neighbors
As a People Analyst at Nextdoor, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and supporting our employee population by developing analyses that lead to insights on hiring, performance, engagement, and demographic trends. Your work will inform key decisions about employee development, hiring practices, benefits program design, office location planning, and more.
You will be an essential member of our People team reporting to the Head of Compensation & Talent, collaborating with colleagues across all levels and functions to enhance our work environment and reinforce our community values.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and manipulating datasets to gain insights into hiring, performance, compensation, engagement, and demographic trends to inform strategic People decisions
- Supporting scalable reporting solutions, and the design and development of data visualizations and dashboards with key metrics for stakeholders across the People team
- Supporting cyclical and ongoing programs, including compensation planning and performance reviews
- Conducting market research and analysis to develop and refine People programs
- Building and maintaining tools to enhance company-wide efficiency and productivity
- Participating in company events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and team-building exercises
What You’ll Bring To The Team
- The utmost integrity and sound judgment, to allow the handling of sensitive personnel information
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting and presenting data, coupled with effective problem-solving abilities
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs)
- 1+ years of relevant experience working with people programs, including performance management, compensation, benefits, analytics, talent acquisition, or learning & growth
- Ability to assist others in making challenging decisions with tact and timing
- An inquisitive mindset and appetite for identifying and exploring new problems and opportunities

Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package.
The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $80,000 to $120,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your level of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.
We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.
Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. Nextdoor employees can choose between a variety of great health plans.
