About the Role:                     

The Pediatric Medical Assistant (“MA”) is an integral member of Community Reach Center’s Mountainland Fox Drive 309300 (“Division”) Division. The MA provides professional patient care by providing comprehensive care to patients and families with complex healthcare needs that may be both predictable and unpredictable. The MA aims to provide care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. Additionally, the MA will have other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Nurse Manager.

Essential Functions: 

  • Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customers service and satisfaction.
  • Work with assigned providers or locations and plan and prepare for patient visits ensuring appropriate schedules, test results, and clinic specific requirements are available.
  • Room patients consistent with clinic needs while determining and documenting chief complaint and reason for visit, vital signs, medication list, allergies, and other information as required by clinic.
  • As required and competency validated collect and document a variety of routine procedures; sick consult, injury, emergency, WBC, WCC lab work, nebulizers, PFT’s injections, plot growth parameters and other requested procedures.
  • Prepares and stocks (daily/weekly) in advance of clinic visit as well as sanitizing rooms between patients.
  • Additional office, clerical, maintenance duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant certificate is required
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
  • Prefer 1 year of directly related experience
  • Understand Medical terminology.
  • Experience with Mental Health/ SUD
  • Communication, organization, time management and clinical skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
