The ideal candidate for our Payroll Lead, People Operations role is someone who has managed scaled Payroll Operations and built durable strategic partnerships across suppliers and cross-functional teams. The candidate will need to be both an experienced communicator and operate as a functional leader. Reporting to the Director, People Services Delivery, this internal facing Individual Contributor will be the business owner for scaling global Payroll support ensuring all the stakeholders are involved and aligned throughout the process.Payroll Operations Lead North America Responsibilities
  • Manage complex projects and drive execution of work related to Payroll.
  • Navigate complex global requirements and regulatory constraints to design programs that consistently deliver on challenging business objectives in a fast moving environment with the operational rigor required to meet Meta’s high quality standards.
  • Continuously raise the bar on benchmarks for customer satisfaction and operational efficiency through creation of metrics driven, high performance supplier engagements that are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with leaders across the People Ops, Benefits and Compensation, Finance, Legal, and Tax team to uplift organizational performance ensuring the entire global team executes seamlessly to deliver business outcomes that are consistent, repeatable and measurable.
  • Builds relationships between suppliers and internal stakeholders ensuring systems, workflows, and playbooks are documented, improved and maintained
  • Launch and sustain a scalable quality management program needed to continuously measure outcomes including a closed feedback loop between cross-functional partners, stakeholders, partners, and supplier teams to ensure programs meet minimum requirements while also surfacing and prioritizing opportunities for improved program effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Partner with HR Tech, engineering and other teams to drive automated solutions through continuous process improvement. Leveraging understanding of system integration across multiple platforms and suppliers to ensure alignment and consistently manages to support streamlined payroll processing
  • Understand business vision and proactively determine strategies to support the business achieving its goals including location strategy, privacy and security, contingency planning and audit readiness.
  • Lead and influence end-to-end process improvement, scalability and automation to support company growth.
  • Analyze and report metrics on people systems activities in support of strategic decision-making initiatives and for ongoing measurement and continual improvement.
  • Drive change management efforts needed to affect operational uplift including adoption of new systems, programs and process changes.
  • Understanding and facilitating change in a dynamic environment - handling challenge and pushback from leadership
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12 + years of experience in Payroll & Human Resources and/or operations (shared services) in an international environment
  • 5 + years of experience working with in multi-region Payroll systems and suppliers (SAP, Workday, ADP)
  • 3 + years of experience in any time tracking system and experience in designing time tracking solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in providing oversight and uplifting operational performance of supplier teams in a challenging and complex environment within ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Experience leveraging data skills to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs are met
  • Experience driving decisions in ambiguity under time pressure leveraging clear communication, and solid judgment in complex high-profile situations
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, system thinker with experience executing in large scale, critical environments
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership with a proven track record of thinking strategically and executing tactically
