Payment and Operations Intern

PSECU, a high tech progressive financial institution with more than $8 billion in assets, is seeking a Payment and Operations Intern, who under general supervision, will assist with all aspects of the business processes within the Payments and Operations organization. The intern will be mentored by Payment and Operations management staff.

Employee Type:  Intern, part-time, Non-exempt

Schedule:  Flexible to accommodate school schedule, training will be completed onsite

This position will be a hybrid model of both in person and remote with the minimum onsite expectation of 60%, or as needed.

Minimum Starting Pay Rate:  $13/hr - $17/hr

Candidate must be bondable and credit worthy.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:  

• Under general supervision, works with business units to create process flows for each process within Payment and Operations department.
• Under immediate supervision, assists in research and fact-finding to develop or modify inefficient operational process flows.
• Assist with gathering data for the purpose of realizing efficiencies within the Payments and Operations Units.
• Assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of product and process-improvement projects, including exposure to cross-functional projects where effective interaction with other departments is vital.
• Under supervision, assist with the development of a records governance program including policies and procedures.
• Under supervision, assist with project research as it related to business units within Payments and Operations.
• Assists with gathering, coordinating and production of the Payment and Operations Departmental Budget to include the gathering and coordinating of budgetory data; variance research; forecasting projections.

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 

College student pursuing degree in Business or a degree applicable for the requirements within the job description.
