Patient Services Specialist

Under the general supervision of the Director of Therapy Services, the Registration Representative is responsible for the coordination of patient visit. Responsible for scheduling outpatient visits, providing liaison functions between doctor's offices, admitting, and therapy services, and coordinating treatments between departments. Registers patients in a pleasant, professional, and timely manner, demonstrating excellence in guest services.  Conducts patient/guarantor interviews, explains hospital policies, financial responsibilities, and patient bill of rights. Handles all routine patient inquiries related to the registration process.

Required Qualifications:

• Two years: Experience in a hospital, similar medical setting, or physician’s office.
• Registration experience, insurance verification experience, and/or scheduling experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: College level course work, particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
