Patient Services Representative - Outpatient Scheduling

Job Purpose: 

The Outpatient Clinics at Bethany Children's Health Center serve a wide variety of patient populations. From General Pediatrics to Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, to Neurology and Behavioral Health, we strive to meet our patients where they are and provide top-notch comprehensive medical care along the way. The primary focus of the Patient Services Representative is to create a welcoming environment and to provide support to patients, families, and the outpatient therapy and clinic teams while taking care of daily tasks to create a seamless workflow throughout the department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Answers all incoming calls at front desk; schedules or reschedules patient appointments, dispatches calls for employees, while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Maintains front office space including fax machine, printer, and other supplies.

Maintains up to date information for families in EMR, accepts payments from families.

Communicates with patients, patient families, and co-workers in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications: 

Education:

High school graduate or GED with specialized training. Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English required.

Experience:

Previous or directly related experience preferred

License/Certification/Credential:
