We are Looking for:

We are looking for a professional and courteous Patient Service Representative I to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating financial responsibilities, and ensuring that our patients have a positive experience when they visit our facility.

Responsibilities:

•  Welcomes patients and visitors in person; answering calls and referring inquiries
• Optimizes patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person.
• Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of patient’s arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; and reminding the provider of service delays.
• Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient’s records.
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Pre-registers patients by obtaining patient demographics and insurance information when necessary.
• Applies the policies of the clinical entity to schedule appointments.
• Travel to clinics within Sugarland and Cinco Ranch clinic
• Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• 2 years+ of experience in a medical clinic setting
• Experience in patient access
• Experience in hospital inpatient/outpatient setting
• Bilingual preferred
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred
