Patient Service Representative (ICW-Berkeley

Patient Service Rep to support patients registration, scheduling, and data input in our patient portal.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Liaison patients, providers, and office staff
• Relaying schedule changes to staff and clients
• Collect and post all medical payments
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management
• Protects patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Product knowledge for dermatology skin care lines preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt style and approach based on audience.
• Proficient in EMR (Modernizing Medicine / EMA) preferred but not required
• Ability to handle fast paced and stressful situations
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA compliance
• Knowledge and experience in cosmetic dermatology a plus
• Punctual
