Job Overview: 

• Coordinate patient admissions by collaborating with medical staff, updating bed status, and verifying insurance eligibility.

• Accurately register patients for inpatient, outpatient, and observation services using phone and faxed information.

• Create EMR registrations for regional transfers, update inpatient/observation/level of care statuses, and retrieve imaging for transfers.

• Provide back-up support for Wheelchair Van Dispatch and the Critical Regional Transfer Line.

• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and organizational conduct standards; support continuous quality improvement.

• Train new staff as a preceptor, participate in third-shift on-call duties, and perform other tasks as assigned. 

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

Preferred Certification/Licnese/Experience:

• College degree desired.
• Knowledge of health care revenue cycle preferred.
• Understanding of insurance is a plus.
