WHAT DOES THE PARTS ASSOCIATE DO?
As a Parts Shipping and Receiving Associate you will work closely with and support the larger parts and service department in achieving daily goals This associate works at a fast pace to accurately pick customer orders, prepare those orders for shipment, cycle count parts stock, put parts in their proper bin according to detailed 5S quality standards, follow the shipping and receiving process, including accurate logging of orders. Most of the day is spent in our warehouse working within and fence enclosed parts area with high ceilings.
WHAT ARE THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Shipping and Delivery
- Pull, pack and ship all outgoing orders for parts/materials. Verify all orders pulled for accuracy
- Distribute materials/parts to their intended destination, i.e. customer shipments, job bins, Will-Call shelves, etc
- Report all discrepancies with part orders and incoming material to immediate supervisor
- Ensure branch transfers are properly placed in their corresponding locations
- Pickup, distribute and ship all inter-branch mail
- Arrange carrier for orders requiring pickup and delivery
- Pickup and deliver equipment and parts as directed by Parts and Service Department
- Order all shipping supplies such as cardboard boxes, UPS labels and other supplies required to process shipments, Bills of lading for all outside carriers. (Federal Express, Airborne etc.)
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving of heavy equipment as directed by Shipping/Receiving manager
Receiving
- Unpack received boxes, compare to invoice and stage for shipment or place in its proper location
- Receive and process all incoming parts/materials. Verify for accuracy using corresponding purchase order
- Notify other departments of material arrival and distribute
- Stage all will call orders and ensure all “ship complete” orders are properly matched in their respective locations
- Stocking & General Maintenance
- Pull all truck stock orders and place in proper truck bin
- Assign Bin locations to all new stock items
- Maintain neat and orderly workplace
- Assist with inventories of all Service vans
- Report immediately any safety or company policy violations to your supervisor
- Follow written policies and procedures with in the TMHNC IIPP Program
- Other responsibilities, duties and/or special projects may be assigned, as management deems necessary

Requirements
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
Required
- High School Diploma
- At least one-year experience working in parts stocking, shipping and receiving.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors and customers.
- Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
- Ability to shift priorities in a changing environment.
- Clean DMV Driving Record & clear Drug Screen required.
- Ability to drive vans and trucks is necessary for pickup and delivery of equipment.
- Basic PC keyboarding skills and familiarity with Windows environment.
Desired
- Forklift Certified
- College degree
- Experience with UPS and FEDERAL EXPRESS online computer systems
Physical
- Approximately 85% is spent standing, squatting, kneeling or moving about the work areas.
- Approximately 10% is spent seated at a desk, working on the telephone or at a computer terminal.
- Approximately 5% is spent driving parts delivery truck, Forklift Trucks and equipment.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Operation of foot controls or repetitive foot movement required for driving equipment including forklift and motor vehicle.
