JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We are hiring a highly motivated part-time graduate research assistant to support research and coordinate a community coalition aimed at reducing maternal mortality. This position will run from September 2025 to May 2026, with a maximum of 20 hours/week. The role offers hybrid flexibility and will report directly to the project’s Principal Investigator.

Job Duties

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Support project coordination and logistics
  • Assist with the implementation of community-based interventions
  • Contribute to drafting reports, research abstracts and manuscripts

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Current graduate student with at least one-year course work toward a MPH or related degree
  • Strong interest or experience in program coordination
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Experience with SAS and/or R is a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly and independently
  • Passion in maternal health, community engagement, and public health is highly desirable
