Part Time Maintenance Technician

CAMS- HOA Management company is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform upkeep, general maintenance, basic repair, and simple construction at a residential community located in Mount Holly, NC.

The base rate ranges between $17.50 and $30.00 per hour with a 1.5x after hour’s rate. Please note that the pay for this position will be determined by experience, education, certifications and other factors. 

Expected 15-25 hours weekly, flexible schedule between Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm. After-hours and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the On-Site Director, Landscaping and Facilities Committees as necessary with onsite vendor appointments regarding maintenance/service activities
• Maintain the physical integrity of the property by performing general maintenance and repair activities as needed. Activities will vary, ranging from pressure washing to shelve/curtain installation to replacing bulbs/filters to basic carpentry repairs.
• Provide recommendations and/or perform preventative maintenance activities on Association-owned amenities
• Routinely inspect amenities to include buildings, courts, trails, waterfront marina (to be constructed) and other structures on the premises to ensure a safe and operational environment for residents and visitors
• Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors for the Association to include janitorial, landscaping, trail maintenance, pet stations, pool management, etc.
• Aid with Lifestyle Programming set up for community functions.
• Maintain and update a maintenance log

Requirements

•  Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred at least 2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field
• Must have a valid NC Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must have general knowledge of plumbing, electric, and HVAC to assist tradespeople
• Must have general construction knowledge including but not limited to light sheetrock repairs and painting
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled on a variety of hand and power tools
• Good communications skills
• Well-organized and apt in problem solving
