Job Description
Responsibilities of a part-time Nursing Instructor include but are not limited to:
Teaching college-level courses in the field.
Develop syllabi and course materials.
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities, and program/curriculum development.
Assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day, evening and/or weekend classes.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as an educator.
Experience with evaluation and assessment methods used within nursing education programs.
Required Qualifications
BSN from a regionally accredited college or university with five (5) years of experience in specialty area within past seven (7) years (expected to be enrolled in or be enrolled within in one (1) year in a Master's of Nursing program).
OR Master's in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
OR Masters in Health Related Field and a BSN from a regionally accredited college or university.
Unencumbered Nevada RN license.
Clinical experience.
Interest in teaching either LPN or RN students.
Salary Information
$925 per credit for lecture per semester and $57.81 per hour for lab/clinical.
