Job Description
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Part-Time Instructor Responsibilities:
Lecture and Lab instruction for Air Conditioning Technology Courses
Develop Syllabi, Lesson Plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
Required Qualifications
Background and experience in courses taught
Preferred Qualifications
EPA Section 608 Certification
Current HVAC Excellence, NATE or ICE certifications
10 years of service experience in the Air Conditioning Industry
Knowledgeable in Residential & Commercial Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Gas Furnaces, Essential Plant Operations, and Building Systems Operations
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act effectively as a member of a team
Self-starter, creative, goal-oriented and organized
AAS in Air Conditioning Technology or similar
Experience teaching in a community college setting
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Schedule: Course assignments may be day, evening and/or weekend classes
Starting: $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
