Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Group Fitness Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will lead engaging group fitness classes and create a positive environment for our participants. We are seeking Pilates and Indoor Cycling instructors.
Essential Functions:
Arrive punctually and set up any necessary equipment before class begins.
Lead safe, energetic, and engaging group fitness classes for all fitness levels.
Build a report by creating a positive, motivating experience for members, providing encouragement, modifications, and exercise variations to ensure inclusivity and injury prevention.
Collect Group Exercise Entry Passes before the start of class.
Ensure that all equipment is cleaned up and put away after each class.
Enforce policies regarding activewear, belongings, and behavior.
Report any issues with equipment to the Manager on Duty and Fitness Coordinator of Group Exercise.
Make Appropriate Announcements for upcoming wellness events.
Keep track of Participation Counts.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:
Part-Time.
Non-Exempt.
The schedule is dependent on the academic calendar.
The regular weekly schedule starts on January 8th.
We are looking for instructors who may be available Mondays through Thursdays from 5 PM-8 PM, Fridays from 5 PM-6 PM, and Sundays from 5 PM-8 PM.
Salary Range:
$24-$40 based on experience and qualifications.
Required Education and Experience:
Current Group Fitness Instructor certification (Ex: Cycle/Spin, Pilates).
CPR & AED Certification: Required and must be current.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Motivated and passionate leadership, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Skilled at inspiring and energizing participants.
Punctual, Dependable, and Well-Organized.
Adaptable, with the ability to adjust class formats and techniques as needed.
