About the Role
We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and performance-driven Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the necessary legal experience to answer legal queries, conduct contract reviews for customers, and perform legal casework under the supervision of our lawyers, and support business development, all while having an eye for marketing our services.
Responsibilities
The role predominantly will be administering the Rocket Lawyer UK legal advice practice to ensure we are delivering legal information and advice effectively and efficiently. You will be responsible for the following activities/tasks:
Legal:
- Answer legal queries from customers with accuracy and professionalism in a timely manner.
- Conduct contract reviews and provide feedback to customers.
- Assist in legal casework under the supervision of our lawyers.
- Conduct legal research and provide summaries and reports.
- Monitoring the legal advice practice email account, including responding to or taking appropriate action on incoming mail as required.
- Confidently pick up the phone to speak with customers, providing assistance and updates in a professional and friendly manner.
- Educate clients on our services and upsell where appropriate.
- Assist in preparing legal content for our website and other marketing materials, including writing guidance and articles on legal topics, drafting legal documents, creating and optimising document creation interviews, and updating existing content.
- Support the marketing team in promoting our legal services.
- Conduct research to support business development efforts.
Administration:
- Maintain due diligence and compliance requirements including those relating to ID, KYC checks, letters of engagement, conflict check, and AML regulations.
- Attend meetings and take detailed minutes of decisions made.
- Raise invoices and manage billing for clients and lawyers, liaising with the Finance Department when needed.
General

- Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge, and innovations that affect both the legal sector and our business.
- Proactively identify areas of personal improvement and work with the Head of Legal to strengthen your skills and agree on a defined training plan.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of CRM tools (preferably Salesforce).
- Proficiency in Google Suite / Microsoft Office.
- IT proficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in sales and customer service.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Fast/Accurate typing skills.
- Excellent grammar.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Motivated and flexible with a can-do attitude.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Natural problem solver.
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- An upper Second Class-Honours degree in any discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a legal services environment.
- LPC or SQE is desirable.
- Sales experience or a strong aptitude for sales and upselling is a plus.
- Previous experience with automation software.
- Basic understanding of legal terminology and processes.
