Painter

At Applewood Village, we are dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our residents. As a senior living community, we take pride in ensuring our community reflects the comfort and care we offer every day. We’re currently looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join our Plant Operations team and help keep our community looking its best.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, priming, and cleaning.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Maintain and repair painted and finished surfaces as needed.
• Work with the maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure minimal disruption to residents.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and facility policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with other general maintenance tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a professional painter; experience in senior living settings preferred.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and materials.
• Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent customer service skills, courteous and respectful to residents and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
