The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Responsibilities:
Packer/Driver will be required to support all shifts as needed for operational support requirements and hold all certifications for both Packing & Crating and Transportation skill sets.

- High School Diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience.
- Effective verbal and written communicate skills.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to hold the necessary security clearances.
- Ability to hold necessary certifications.

Physical Requirements
- Will be required to climb stairs to access equipment for troubleshooting.
- Climbing ladders and platforms will be necessary.
- Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection and other associated personal protective equipment.
- Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
- Must be able to work in tight confined space areas.
Work Environment
- All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and Company safety standards.
- Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex.
- Position requires daily individual to travel to different areas on site.
- Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand is required to access various locations on the facility.
Equipment and Machines
- Operate computer terminals, personal computers, and related computer peripheral equipment to maintain/adjust database logs and records, print documents and record work performance.
- Prior operational knowledge or prior certification preferred of Forklifts, Sideloaders, Pallet Stackers, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, Freight Elevators, Temperature Controlled Storage Areas, Sub Zero Freezers, and storage of hazardous materials in support of mission critical operations and to provide oversite of the operation of the equipment and storage systems by the represented employees.
- Personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, laser printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.
Attendance
- Work assignments are normally 8 hours shifts, 5 consecutive days per week.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Occasional overtime, sometimes with short notice, is required to meet demanding schedule
Other Essential Functions
- If offered a position, proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card holder of the United States is required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class E Florida Driver’s license.<
