About the role
Bobcat of Atlanta specializes in Bobcat machinery sales and financing, including skid-steers, compact track and wheel loaders, mini excavators, and utility vehicles.
Bobcat of Atlanta is actively seeking a dynamic individual to join our sales team. As part of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and developing existing customer accounts to ensure targeted sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships; build confidence and call on customers.
- Assist outside sales representatives on sales calls, trade in requests, and deal completion.
- Visit construction sites, offices, and individual owner/operator sites within territories.
- Promote Bobcat products; demonstrate rentals and grow sales and market presence.
- Create a personalized customer service relationship with new and existing customers.
- Maintain familiarity with new products developed by suppliers.
- Responsible for loading, hauling, and unloading of equipment and components (Bobcat only).
- Educate decision makers on the benefits of using our equipment and emphasize the advantages of working with Bobcat.
- Provide solutions for customers and provide technical sales assistance as needed.
- Continually grow your knowledge base on existing and new products (machinery).
- Keep management informed of significant developments in the territory, including lost sales.
- Use company-approved technology and programs to maintain database of customers and customers calling schedule and sales pipeline.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Typing and use of computer for quotation generation.
- Familiar with and ability to operate compact construction equipment.
- Organizational ability to schedule, follow-up and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication.
- Attend all sales meetings, trainings and trade shows as required.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Familiar with and ability to operate compact construction equipment.

- Active listening required.
- Familiar with territory management.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Prior success selling industrial equipment, compact construction equipment preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent documented work experience.
Physical Requirements
- Driving commercial motor vehicle, not limited to getting into and out of vehicle; as well as loading and unloading equipment from trailer(s).
- Ability to obtain medical card on a bi-annual basis including the DOT’s physical requirements on vision, blood pressure, and diabetes.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl.
- Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
