SUMMARY 

Outride provides research, cycling programs, and funding to empower all people to experience the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling. Riding for Focus is our middle school-based Physical Education program. Developed as a result of our initial research findings, R4F promotes cycling as an outlet for students to enhance their social, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Schools can acquire R4F via two pathways - by purchasing the program, or for schools serving under-resourced communities, by applying for a program grant. Schools are provided with everything they need to get their 6th-8th grade students riding, including bikes, helmets, curriculum, and all-day teacher training.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

  • Manage and support the back-end systems that drive the operations of the Riding For Focus program.
  • Support disbursement and tracking of equipment to awarded schools.
  • Assist with programmatic communications by drafting copy, tracking conversion, and following up with stakeholders as needed.
  • Support the Riding for Focus grant application cycle: engagement, outreach calls, initial outreach, retention, investigation of grant status.
  • Collaborate with marketing manager implement external communications campaigns during and after grant cycles.
  • Support grantee onboarding and logistics.
  • Event support and coordination: coordinate involvement, travel to, and manage booths or various event requirements related to Riding for Focus.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN 

  • Experience with any/all of the is preferred but not required: Oracle, Quickbooks, Salesforce, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Concur, Survey Monkey Apply.
  • Robust project management skills, delivering project plans and contingency planning, strong skill in multitasking overseeing numerous projects.
  • Be a people person! Ability to empathize and high emotional intelligence.
  • Effective and strong communicator, demonstrating confidence working with new teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently and effectively, leading by energizing others and encouraging collaboration to successfully advance Outride’s mission and programs.
  • Independent thinker and leader, able to take high level guidance, develop a plan with milestones, and deliver measured results on time.
  • Background in education as a teacher, para, administrative support, coach, etc. is preferred but not necessary.
  • Commitment to and passion for actively cultivating equitable and inclusive cycling communities.
  • Strong interest and passion for cycling and fitness, children and education. Being a rider of any level NOT required.

Pay

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

California Base Pay Range: $40,555 - $64,482

 

At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
