Your Responsibilities
As an Order Fulfillment Process Assembly ME for John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL, you will mentor Engineers and support assembly production for the Front End Equipment (FEE) Business Unit. In addition, you will...
- Lead the development of capital expenditure justifications by developing accurate cost estimates for equipment, tooling, facilities and labor
- Lead team studies related to capacity, productivity and efficiency
- Lead team(s) to address quality issues by utilizing root cause analysis and mistake proofing by gathering and analyzing data; working with design, tooling, advanced technologies, maintenance and other functional areas to resolve issues
- Work with SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT (MES) to perform engineering functions
- Candidate must be able to work 3rd shift.

What Skills You Need
- Experience with shop floor documentation (Sequence of Events, Labor Standards, Operator Methods Sheets).
- Knowledge of assembly processes, quality, tooling, and safety.
- Knowledge of capital budgeting and equipment justification.
- Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment.
- Experience in project management and business planning; small strategic projects or large tactical projects.
- Experience with line design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools such as simulations and 3D factory.
- Ability to work off shift and weekends as needed.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Lead the analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
- Experience with MPPlanner for SOE and OMS development
- Experience with Dynamic Line Balancing Tools (DLBT)
- Experience working with incentive pay systems, especially gainsharing programs such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
- Experience working in a union environment
- Experience with JDAAT MES systems
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
