Will support a client in Quantico as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer. This program supports National Security.
What is the position?
As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will be a key member of the Database Group, providing overall database support with concentration in back-end programming. The PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for properly maintaining source code sets, necessary technical documentation, and for assisting the DBAs and Database Architects in overall database support. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of Oracle database development and be instrumental in the successful operations and maintenance of the customer’s legacy application portfolio.
What will I get to do?
You will be the hands-on individual responsible for producing excellent quality code, adhering to expected coding standards and industry best practices. You will collaborates with other developers and consumers of the data to implement views and procedures that are optimized for consumption. You will migrate data from database to database, identify opportunities for query optimization and performance improvement, and assist with code versioning tools such as (Git).
What qualifications do I need?
- BA/BA degree
- 10+ relevant experience needed
- Oracle, PL/SQL, Java
- Should possess strong experience in Oracle/PLSQL as a developer.
- Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL, views, functions, procedures, triggers, packages, and performance tuning
- Ability to extract/understand the SQL from Java Code
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex views and SQL queries
What additional characteristics will help me thrive?
Strong experience in UNIX Scripting.
Experience with Java, Object Oriented Programming, and stored procedures desirable
Experience working in AWS environment and BI tools.

Compensation
$113,927.72 - $187,981.83The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante’s total compensation package for employees.
