Oracle Principal Industry Solutions Architect - Construction & Engineering

Position Overview: A Principal Solutions Industry Architect provides strategic direction relating to the processes and systems of Argano’s construction and homebuilding clients. They oversee the integration of emerging data platforms and tools and often work on significant and unique issues. They require a high level of homebuilder industry knowledge and technical expertise. Guided by industry best-practices, they develop models that illustrate how a product/solution provides value to the customer.  Our Solution Architects manage and prioritize the flow of work, starting with idea intake, analysis, definition, backlog, throughout the build and delivery phases.  Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, a Solutions Architect uses skills to contribute to the development of company objectives to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

 

Responsibilities:

• Apply in-depth homebuilding industry and related application knowledge, as well as homebuilding industry best practice expertise, in consulting with clients to provide cost effective solutions to solve business issues.
• Architect complex and large-scale solutions, including creating detailed architectural diagrams and specifications.
• Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure adherence to construction and homebuilding industry best practices.
• Ensure the highest quality solution designs and implementations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to homebuilder clients, understanding their strategic goals, and aligning technical solutions including technical and software specification documents that allow remote technical teams to develop solutions as designed.
• Work collaboratively with project team and client employees during the configuration and testing phases to ensure solutions meet stated requirements.
• Coach and mentor team members regarding industry best practice.
• Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.  Exercised independent judgement in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Leverage market research, design thinking and continuous exploration to understand customer and market needs.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

 

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology/Systems, Software Engineering or a related field is expected.
• Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in Technology or Professional Services 
• 5 plus years of experience in the Homebuilder industry
• Experience as a Software Engineer/Architect working on enterprise-level software and a proven track record of technically contributing to successful software implementations.
• Experience with at least 3 implementation projects serving in the role of a Solution Architect

Skill Requirements:

• Industry Knowledge: Proven ability to understand and apply the key concepts critical to the Homebuilding Industry.  Ability to apply the knowledge to create creative technical solutions to industry issues.
• Software Knowledge: Deep understanding of Oracle’s JD Edwards Homebuilder Module strongly desired.
• Advanced Technical Proficiency: Mastery of multiple technology stacks, platforms, and frameworks, expertise in designing highly complex and scalable solutions.
• Solution Design Leadership: The ability to lead projects in creating complex solution designs.
• Client Engagement: Strong client-facing skills, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and providing deep technical consultancy.
