Oracle Cloud HCM Data Conversion Specialist

Job Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle Cloud HCM Data Conversion Specialist to join our rapidly expanding SAAS Cloud practice. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful design, development, execution, and validation of data conversions from PeopleSoft and other legacy systems into Oracle Cloud HCM, Finance, and SCM. You will work closely with functional teams and clients to define data transformation strategies, automate loading processes, and ensure data integrity.

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and oversee end-to-end data conversion processes for Oracle Cloud HCM, ensuring seamless migration from legacy systems.
• Design and develop PL/SQL queries, packages, stored procedures, and conversion scripts to load client data via HDL, HCM Extracts, and FBDI.
• Oversee data validation, reconciliation, and transformation mapping in collaboration with business and functional teams.
• Ensure error handling, logging mechanisms, and troubleshooting capabilities are in place for conversion failures.
• Manage seamless integration with PeopleSoft, Oracle DB custom applications, and third-party systems.
• Provide technical expertise on Alteryx-based conversion templates for HR data mapping and translation.
• Implement and maintain OIC-ATP data mapping and translation processes for FBDI file creation.
• Collaborate with testing teams to support unit testing, SIT, UAT, and post-go-live validation.
• Drive performance optimization of data conversion processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolution of data migration issues throughout project phases.
• Support cutover planning and post-go-live hypercare to ensure smooth production adoption.

Qualifications

Experience:  

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of work experience.

Management Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills to understand conversion process, overall Oracle conversion skills.
• PeopleSoft technical experience since the source system for the data conversion is from PeopleSoft and Oracle database custom applications.
• Technical implementation knowledge and hands-on experience of Oracle Cloud HCM, Finance and SCM modules
• SDLC development cycle, code repository, code control and change control process.
• Consulting experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication with strong presentation experience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a project team.
• Ability to travel nationwide, up to 25%.
• Public sector experience preferred.

Technical Qualifications:

• Experience in implementing multiple full cycle Oracle HCM (ERP - Finance and SCM a plus) cloud with the latest version of Oracle fusion cloud.
• Strong hands on experience in creating PLSQL query, packages, and Stored Procedure to develop conversion scripts to load Client provided DB queries, flat file in the specific format into HDL, HCM extracts and FBDI.
• Troubleshooting skills in Conversion development in pre-validation, data loading, loading errors and post validation process
• Experience in creating data validation and reconciliation scripts.
• Strong data mapping knowledge to work with business and functional team members.
• Alteryx experience preferred – to support conversion template for HCM for the data mapping, translation to create HDL to load the data.
• Understanding of the OIC-ATP, data mapping and translation to create FBDI file required.

Certification Required:

• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) certification required.
• Oracle SaaS technical implementation (application developer / implementor) certification
• PL-SQL expert level
