The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising the homecare programs and the clinical team members to ensure the provision of high-quality care and service to clients consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices.

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising clinical staff and programs to ensure the provision of high-quality care and service to clients consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices. This position has a responsibility as a member of the management team to participate in the planning and implementation of strategies and programming that assure high-quality client care while achieving short and long-term operational goals and objectives for the program.

Key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Participate in overseeing implementation of homecare program and processes as a member of the management team. Monitor performance outcome standards for the program. Oversee and monitor the program standards and functions assigned area. Establish and maintain communication systems that support good customer relations. Collaborate with management and site leaders to ensure seamless access to services in assigned clinical area.
- Oversee all care rendered to clients and families in designated area. In conjunction and collaboration with the Optage Leadership Team, oversee the implementation of client care processes: Selection, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care based upon regulations and established clinical best practices. Participate in client care processes and support case managers with caseload when necessary. Communicate, implement and manage established practices to all assigned staff. Coordinate and participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings. Oversee and monitor the clinical components of the medical record for completeness and accuracy.
- Promote a spirit of cooperation with all regulatory organizations managing with an expectation of appropriate compliance and corrective measures. Coordinate clinical services with other health professionals inside and outside the organization. Maintain effective working relationships with outside agencies and organizations to establish effective benchmarking opportunities and clinical best practices, market site services, to realize efficient and timely client placement, to participate with the various community constituencies to achieve mutually beneficial results.
- Manage an effective team that achieves desired outcomes at the individual team member level as well as at the collective function level. Create and maintain a work environment for employees that are conducive to high productivity and morale. Establish and maintain effective communication systems with employees. Provide ongoing employee educational and development opportunities which meet regulatory requirements and opportunities for growth.
- Manage the performance management process (recruitment, selection, orientation, supervision, evaluation and termination) for your direct reports that achieve desired outcomes and encourage individual development.
- Participate in the development of clinical policies, procedures, and practices that are consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices. Ensure policies and procedures are understood and implemented by assigned staff. Use the quality management process to meet the needs of clients, families and employees and overall clinical operations. Implement and maintain monitoring systems and processes for clinical care and records to ensure compliance with regulations and established clinical best practices. Apply the knowledge and skills needed for the position including technical competence in the clinical field. Use discretion and independent judgment to compare and evaluate possible courses of action and decision-making. Maintain knowledge of organization and industry policies and practices.
- Manage resource allocations in order to achieve or exceed operational goals and demonstrate good stewardship of available resources. Oversee billing practices of your assigned staff to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

Qualifications
- Registered nurse with current licensure with the State Board of Nursing in state(s) in which he/she practices. BSN or Masters Degree preferred.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of experience in Home Care.
- Demonstrated competencies in homecare care management and operations, quality and business management, team building and employee development, client and family support systems, governmental regulations and community outreach.
