GE Vernova - Erlanger Service Center manufactures and repairs assemblies for steam power plants. As an operator/metal fabricator you will use various machines and perform layout operations to fashion components for these assemblies.
This is a 2nd shift onsite position only available at our Erlanger, KY Service Center. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekend work/OT as optional. Available shift is 2:30PM to 1:00AM.

Sets-up and operate fabricating machines such as press brake, drill press, plate rolling machine, CNC plasma table, and cold saw
Operate cranes, forklifts, and bevellers
Basic blueprint reading – Understanding specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
De-burr, grind and finish with hand tools or power-driven equipment
Produce high quality work and achieve tight tolerances to fixtures and engineered drawings
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirements
Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
3+ years of press break, machining, or welding experience within a heavy industrial manufacturing setting
Desired Qualifications
Blueprint reading
Ability to layout holes on a radius
Working knowledge of metrology instruments (radius gauges, calipers, micrometers, ruler, and height gauge)
Strong math skills
The pay range for this position is $27.00 to $32.00 USD per hour. The specific pay rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
