Agilex Fragrances is a leading provider of custom fragrance compounds and delivery systems serving mid-sized customers. We have a 1st Shift Utility Operator position available at our Somerset, NJ manufacturing center. The 1st shift schedule is 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday through Friday. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Utility Operator position is responsible for cleaning tanks and pots, emptying trash bins to external dumpsters and cleaning floors.

Your key responsibilities 

• Gathers empty pots and mobile mix tanks from the splitters/packers and washes pots, large and medium mobile mix tanks and all associated pipes and hoses, pumps, valves using automated pot washer and manual procedure. 

• Works closely with the Automation Operators to ensure robot production is maximized and ensures that robot area is always stocked with clean pots. 

• Assists Compounding Personnel as necessary and trains new Utility Operators and assists other Utility Operators as needed. 

• Maintains a clean and safe work area, and adheres to safety regulations, and procedures, understanding the hazards that are associated with the job duties, to include chemicals and power operated vehicles. 

• Participates in year-end physical inventory and performs other duties as required

You bring 

• High School Degree or equivalency (GED) required. 

• Good communication skills. 

• Ability to handle heavy materials including drums (lifting requirement of up to 60 lbs.) 

• Must be willing and able to work in manufacturing plant with strong fragrance presence. 

• Possesses strong commitment to team environment dynamics.
