We are looking for an Operations Training Coordinator, someone who is very detailed and extremely organized, responsible and adept at staying out in front of things and knows when or how to advance issues to those within the leadership team. A professional demeanor and personality that is willing to hold the team accountable to meeting goals. Must have good interpersonal skills, be respectful but firm and have the ability to think quickly, see and understand potential issues arising. Must become familiar with our internal processes, systems and equipment specs in order to job monitor and quickly plan in a constantly evolving environment.

Broadridge classifies its jobs in three work modes: On-site, Hybrid, and Off-site. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a physical Broadridge location where work will be performed 100% of the time.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates, schedules and conducts hands-on, one-on-one, classroom, or group skills training on a variety of topics, including new hire job orientation, safety and environmental health, certification and/or recertification, retraining, new equipment introduction, equipment operation, operational processes and procedures, “right to know”, etc. Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvements (e.g. documentation, reporting, communication, training specifics, system processes, procedures, etc.).
  • Evaluates, tracks and maintains an accurate database/files of associates’ progress through observation, demonstrated learning, testing, documented certification processes, etc, and determines appropriate training solutions. Provides updates to, interacts with and solicits feedback from management, department and/or temporary employment agencies regarding training activities (e.g. weekly or monthly training progress reports, statistical reporting, procedure task failures and viable solutions).
  • Researches operational and equipment processes by performing online searches, contacting vendors, observing processes in action, asking clarifying questions, and taking notes to accurately develop and maintain documentation. Collaborates with Engineering and Production to develop and test new operational processes and procedures. Communicates procedural changes appropriately and timely.
  • Plans, organizes, creates and maintains/updates documentation, such as training manuals, operational and equipment procedures and processes, forms, certification materials, skill assessments, training calendars, illustrations, training aids, train-the-trainer materials, task lists, technical documentation and unique procedure tasks that would result in failure if the normal procedure was followed. Coordinates the annual revisions of documentation, including establishing and managing deadlines. Reviews and edits documentation from vendors and/or other departments. Researches, gathers and organizes documentation requested for various audits (e.g. quality, SAS70, OSHA, and MPTQM). May administer the Production Learning Center (training records and procedures database).
  • Analyzes and forecasts departmental training needs. Identifies and ensures achievement of short and long term training goals/objectives. Identifies and administers training requirements. May participate in the coordination of departmental business continuity planning (BCP) activities by preparing and scheduling testing exercises.
  • Functions as a post-training mentor. Helps foster a continuous learning environment. Provides guidance and counsel on employee training issues, including the recommendation for soft-skills training classes. May mentor and provide guidance to other trainers. Attends internal and/or external training to improve training skills and subject matter knowledge (e.g., facilitation skills, adult learning knowledge, evaluation skills). May lead shift trainer meetings and classes to ensure trainers conduct consistent, up-to-date training.
  • Follows all departmental and safety procedures. May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or as assigned.
