Title:                           Operations Support Specialist

Functional Area:       Rhino’s Waseca Manufacturing Plant

Reports to:                 Operations/Planning Manager

 

Position Description: The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for working with customer service and Rhino’s manufacturing operation in Waseca, providing general manufacturing and planning support.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Generate and maintain item numbers and Bills of Material
• Generate and maintain manufacturing work orders
• Monitor and maintain inventory records
• Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth order flow
• Support inventory accuracy activities; spot checks, cycle counts, annual inventory, etc.
• Maintain manufacturing capacity and load tools
• Work with production supervisors to establish shopfloor flow, priorities, and schedules
• Coordinate production/work orders with outstanding requirements and exceptions
• Work with supervisors and management to continually improve stocking plans, inventory targets, capacity/load tools, and systems
• Support ERP system improvements and growth
• Support sales related quoting activities, as needed
• Support corrective action activities
• Support product cost summary maintenance
• Work within a team to improve processes and systems

Qualifications

Key Competencies:

 

• Comfortable in a flexible team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with ERP Software Systems
• Self-directed with ability to prioritize tasks
• Attention to detail
• Ability to think outside the box, with a goal of improving processes and systems
