Company Description

TOMRA, an international recycling company, is seeking Operations Supervisor for our bottle & can processing facility in Syracuse, NY.

Pay: $60,000-70,000/yr

Job Description

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

• Plant or manufacturing operations experience
• Experience leading and developing staff
• Excellent and effective business communication skills verbally, in writing and in person with both internal and external customers
• Extensive knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and the ability to operate in compliance.
• Attract, develop and retain good people; allow opportunities for self and others to reach their full potential; build and share knowledge and expertise.
• Working experience with Lean Manufacturing or production experience
• Capacity to foster an environment of teamwork which promotes the company's core values and leadership principles
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.
