2nd Shift Hours are Monday - Thursday from 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM

What You Will Do:

The Operations Supervisor,  2nd Shift is responsible for providing leadership to Business Unit 8700 while applying CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity. 

  • Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components. 

  • Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner. 

  • Execute business decisions in a fair and equitable manner, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives.

  • Be flexible and available relative to department assignment and available for off-shift work.

  • Able to bridge business objectives across (3) operating shifts.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment.

  • In absence of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED and 6 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills

  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures

  • Working knowledge of new product / process technologies

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
