BOLI has an opening for one Employer Assistance and Apprenticeship Coordinator (Operations and Policy Analyst 2) position, which will serve both the Employer Assistance Division and the Apprenticeship and Training Division at the Bureau of Labor and Industries.  This position is hybrid with up to 30% of time spent outside the office or alternate workstation connecting with employers, industry groups, conducting seminars and trainings, and attending apprenticeship-related activities. The successful candidate will be eligible to work a hybrid schedule out of the Portland, Salem, or Eugene BOLI offices.

This is a permanent, full-time, SEIU-represented position. This recruitment may be used to fill additional vacancies as they occur.

Functionally, this position has duties and responsibilities within two divisions of the Bureau— Apprenticeship and Training Division (ATD) and Employer Assistance Division (EAD):

As an advisor and collaborator on the application of appropriate employment law as it relates with the ATD:

  • ATD related duties include serving as a liaison and technical expert to employers, apprentices, educational institutions, joint apprenticeship and training committees, and internally to ATD. This position includes training committees on agency and Council policies related to state and federal apprenticeship regulations, wage and employment structures of occupational trades.

As a Program Coordinator with the (EAD):

  • EAD duties encompass providing employers with accurate and timely information relating to Oregon wage and hour, civil rights, and leave laws enforced by the Bureau.

This position will proactively engage businesses, respond to inquiries in order to assist businesses in complying with Oregon employment law, and market the Bureau’s services to employers. The position will develop, research, and wr
