Operations Manager

Pico Propane and Fuels is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the team in Roswell, NM! The Operations Manager manages the local operations which includes assisting the regional manager with ensuring employees follow all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to the storage, delivery, and usage of all products that company supplies. The operations manager is instrumental in ensuring the plant operates safely and efficiently within the guidelines of the budget, supports growth and positive customer experiences, and provides other services as requested by management.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Personnel Management:

• Recruiting, hiring, and training employees based on criteria agreed upon by senior management
• Duties will include managing tasks, staff meetings, development programs and operational reports as needed
• Develops and manages the plant field staff
• Coordinates with administration the compliance of office staff with established company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record-keeping procedures
• Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
• All other related duties as assigned

Plant Performance:

• Provides feedback to senior management regarding plant performance
• Maintains adequate systems knowledge and provides support to plant manager
• Assists with inventory management
• Assists with meeting budget revenue guidelines
• Evaluates daily, weekly, and monthly plant reporting as required by plant and/or regional manager
• Ensures that daily, weekly, monthly functions to be performed at each plant are performed as required
• Assists staff in collection efforts and must closely monitor top accounts
• Responsible for the coordination of fleet maintenance, safety records, DOT files/records with Pico Propane and Fuels fleet management and compliance
• Schedules and dispatches all drivers and service technicians
• Assists with propane dispensing, fuel deliveries, and service technician work as needed
• Coordinates safety initiatives with the director of safety and implements as directed
• All other related duties as assigned

Customer Service:

• Resolves customer problems by clarifying customer complaints; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
• All other related duties as assigned
