Your profile

• High School Graduate
• Bachelor's Degree or certification preferred
• Working Knowledge of Freight Forwarding procedures, regulations, and departments
• Knowledge of related computer applications (Excel, Cargowise, SAP)
• Essentially 5+ years of industry related experience
• Strong customer service background
• Highly motivated and results driven
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle complex problems during critical times
• Work well under pressure and ability to multitask
• Excellent time management skills

Your Duties

• Manager operations of the department for air and sea divisions
• Responsible for carrying out supervisory and administrative duties among the team including, but not limited to recruitment and training of all new hires, planning employee schedule and time off in the HR online system
• Utilize discretion and judgement to engage vendors to increase branch and company margins on each shipment
• Manage work flows and management of resources to ensure and verify timely and accurate accomplishment of operational processes
• Manage invoicing and collection of freight, agency, and disbursements from clients
• This position requires individual to utilize discretion and judgement in order to manage all components of air & sea operations with limited supervision as work is related directly to general business operations of Gebruder Weiss
• This position will require some weekend rotations
