Position Overview:
The Operations Lead in Kuala Lumpur will be responsible for leading all operational aspects of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) office. This includes ensuring operational efficiency, leading team development, and driving strategic initiatives in line with the company's growth and expansion goals. The director will also play a critical role in potential future efforts to establish a local business entity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
- Manage and direct daily BPO operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with international standards.
- Implement quality assurance measures and continuously seek to enhance service delivery.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling to optimize operational productivity.
2. Team Management:
- Provide leadership and development opportunities for the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing professional development and training.
- Cultivate a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
3. Strategic Planning:
- Engage in strategic planning to improve operational capabilities and support business growth within Malaysia.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and corporate policies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align the site's objectives with overall company goals.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary liaison for all internal and external communications related to the Kuala Lumpur site.
- Maintain relationships with global counterparts, local authorities, and business partners, particularly concerning the establishment of a local business entity.
- Ensure effective and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Initiate and lead process optimization, technological innovation, and strive for operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in all operational areas.
- Regularly review and refine operational processes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in operational leadership, with a significant portion preferably in a BPO or similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Malaysian business environment and regulatory framework.
- Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Chinese is required; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is highly regarded.

- This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- Standard working hours apply, with flexibility required to meet the demands of international business operations.
- Occasional travel may be necessary for business development and operational management purposes.
