Operations Associate - Money Funds

Summary

The Money Fund's Operations Associate performs Money Funds duties with direct supervisory review. This position requires knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Duties will be assigned in accordance with the procedures of the department and may include a combination of Accounting functions, customer service and branch, operations and cash management vendor support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviews Securities Account Applications for completeness via eQuest.
• Processes completed Securities Account Applications, including check orders and debit card orders. 
• Processes return mail; checks and debit cards. Follow up with branch associate to verify mailing address or destroy checks and debit cards.
• Processes check reorders.
• Processes specialty check orders and applies cost to client accounts.
• Routes client deposits to Treasury received via mail.
• Processes daily balancing of Sweep Funds.
• Reports purchases and redemptions figures and make necessary entries.
• Updates name and address for debit card, check writing money market accounts with vendors in BETA.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications 

• Ability to learn general understanding of rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department. 
• Initiative and self-direction when performing tasks with ability to organize and prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines. 
• Able to handle large workload that varies based on projects and heavy volume periods. 

Education & Experience 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• No experience required, 1+ years of similar work experience preferred.

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
