Objectives of the Position:

• To assist the Operations Specialist in the implementation of activities related to the handling of Rice Knowledge Center (RKC), management of Agro-Research Station (ARS) Logistics, and application of Experimental Use Permit (EUP) and Certificate Authorizing Importation of Pesticide (CAIP) at the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA).
• To support in the Admin function at ARS Bay Laguna.

 

Main Areas of Responsibilities:

• Implement RKC activities such as training for the technical, sales and marketing colleagues on rice production and field trial implementation such as trial planning, initiation, spraying and trial assessment.
• Develop and improve current RKC training manuals, photo, and digital library for ready reference of Agriculture Research and Development colleagues.
• Coordinate with other research institution on the conduct of training activities, program, tours, and venues for all local and foreign visitors.
• Handle all FPA related applications such as but not limited to EUP, CAIP and Import/Export End user permit.
• Assist the Shipment Hub in packaging, labeling, shipping, unloading, and discharging chemical/substance samples or products for ARS Bay and other TDS related activities including stockroom and warehouse management.
• Assist in handling PR/PO process of ARS Bay Laguna ensuring that all needed supplies and materials are available at any given time.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the offices, boardroom, rice gallery and other related facilities at all times.
• Lead the proper implementation of BASF safety, health and environmental policies and procedures in the conduct of trainings and trials.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of B.S. Agriculture or any science-related courses.
• With at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in crop protection and warehouse management. Fresh graduates will also be considered.
• With good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Has good organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Express self well in English both orally and in writing.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office Applications.
• Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and integrity at work.
• Proactive, can work independently and in teams.
