POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Operations Accounting Manager leads a team of 8 Accountants and oversees core accounting functions including financial analysis, account reconciliations, and the month-end closing process. This role requires collaboration with Finance and Operations leadership to optimize processes and identify efficiency opportunities.

( Salary 100-120k) plus bonus  

 

RESPONSIBLITIES/DUTIES:

• Lead a team of 8 Accountants
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations leaders to optimize processes and identify centralization opportunities
• Design, record, and review key accounting calculations, analyses, and financial entries
• Review account reconciliations and ensure adequate analytical support for all asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
• Lead month-end closing process and manage financial close activities
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Oversee implementation of new accounting technology and systems
• Lead internal/external audit requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing, and other responsibilities as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 8-10 years of experience; CPA preferred

 

• Proven supervisory experience with demonstrated expertise in accounting operations, financial analysis, and month-end close processes

 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word) and strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail

 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively across teams

 

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
