We are pleased to announce the opening for an Operational Test Requirements Engineer, who will join our Missile Defense System (MDS) Operational Test Agency (OTA) Assessment Requirement (AR) Team in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team responsible for capturing, documenting, and advocating for MDS OTA Team and warfighter requirements at the Combatant Command (CCMD) and System Operator levels for all Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground, Flight, and Cyber testing.

Responsibilties:

You’ll be responsible for the MDS OTA, CCMD, and System Operator requirement development for the MDS OTA. The AR Team Operational Test Requirements Engineer coordinates directly with USSPACECOM, NORTHCOM, USINDOPACOM, USEUCOM, USCENTCOM, and USSTRATCOM representatives to identify combatant command and war fighter Top Level Objectives (TLO). The MDS OTA AR Team member is required to identify Assessment Objectives (AO) from TLOs and develop the Critical Assessment Conditions (CAC) and Key Test Points (KTP) based on operational Red Force and Blue Force to support Ground, Flight, and Cyber test case design. The AR Team member will advocate for requirements to the MDA test community to support the MDS OTA Operational Assessment (OA) and Warfighter Acceptance. The AR Team member must have knowledge of Operational MDS Threat Systems, Threat Tactics, Command and Control, Architecture, Regression, and Interoperability requirements across the MDS. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree at minimum, in a STEM field with experience in requirements development and documentation
  • 7-10 years full-time professional experience in areas such as requirement development, System of Systems (SoS) assessment, operational or developmental test planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret Clearance.

 Lacking any one of these disqualifies you from this job.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Missile Defense System
  • Understanding of CCMD and Service Level roles and responsibilities
  • Direct experience with test planning, execution, and assessment
  • Element and System level testing requirement development
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience working with or at the CCMD or Service Directorate level
  • Aegis, Patriot, THAAD, UEWR, Cobra Dane, SBX, SBIRS, C2BMC, AN/TPY-2 FBM, or GFC operator experience
  • Intelligence Community (IC) threat system and tactic assessment support
  • MDS element or System level test planning, execution, and assessment support
  • Missile Warning (MW), Missile Defense (MD), or Space Domain experience
