Summary 

The one-line assembler is expected to fully understand all warehouse processes to proficiently execute CES Online fulfillment center activities and standard operating procedures. 

The one-line assembler will be responsible for assembling products on the production line and ensuring that all parts and components are assembled correctly and in a timely manner.  The assembler must adhere to safety, efficiency, and quality standards set out by the company.

 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Perform all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
  • Operate and maneuver material handling equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in a manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.
  • Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections (follow LEAN principles).
  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Uses hand tools to assemble parts.
  • Collaborating with team to assemble products.
  • Identify defective and handle them according to established procedures.
  • Monitor inventory for correct quantities of components.
  • Verify resources and supplies prior to assembly.
  • Inspect tools and equipment necessary to perform the task.
  • Using reason to solve problems as they rise.
  • Report out-of-stock items to management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work full-time or overtime, if necessary.

Qualifications

Education/Experience 

  • No prior work experience required; 2-3 years of experience preferred: prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
