Onboarding Specialist

Position Summary: 
Wonderschool is harnessing the power of technology to provide comprehensive support to child care providers operating out of their homes as well as in the government and non-profit sectors. Our products enable child care providers to create high-quality environments and meet the demands of their business, while also helping parents in need of childcare solutions through the creation of an accessible marketplace.

Wonderschool is seeking an Onboarding Specialist (MS Substitute Teachers) who is passionate about contributing to our mission and purpose through the successful onboarding of early childcare substitute teachers in Mississippi.

The lack of available substitutes for early childcare providers can create a crippling ripple effect: if substitutes are not available, fewer children can attend child care. If fewer children can attend child care, fewer parents can go to work. If fewer parents can go to work, jobs go unfulfilled, hurting the overall economy.

This will be a core role on a new, entrepreneurial team within Wonderschool that is launching a statewide early childcare substitute teacher platform to solve this problem. 

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct background screening and reference checks for substitute teacher candidates
• Provide feedback on candidates by participating in interview panels
• Collaborate with HR on making job offers
• Onboard substitute teachers to the sub-pool platform
• Assist with developing and providing various related orientation services, both virtual (live) and on-demand
• Regularly engage with substitutes on the platform to assess ongoing interest and satisfaction
• Collaborate with Finance/Accounting to provide timesheet information and ensure timely and accurate payment to substitutes
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HR/onboarding experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail; highly organized
• Customer support mindset

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in early childhood education
• Experience in K12 office administration

Wonderschool provides the wage ranges it reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for all remote roles and as otherwise required by applicable law. The expected range of starting pay for this role is $70,000-$90,000/year. Actual compensation may vary within the listed range based on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, and specific geographic location.
