On-Call Restaurant & Event Bartender | Gold Mountain Golf Club

This a rare opportunity to have a highly desirable bartending position at one the best golf clubs in the state.

The Restaurant / Event Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional food & beverage service in the full service restaurant and during tournaments, weddings, corporate outings, banquets, and private events held at the golf course clubhouse. This role ensures a high-quality guest experience by preparing and serving food & beverages efficiently, responsibly, and professionally.

What you’ll do:
The Nitty Gritty
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club recipes
• Set up and break down bar areas for events, including stocking supplies and cleaning
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service to all guests and team members
• Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws
• Coordinate with servers, event staff, and kitchen team for smooth service
• Track & report spoils, spills, waste
• Assist with banquet setup and event support as needed
• Maintain full knowledge of food & beverage menus, offerings & selections, daily specials, and featured drinks and promotions
• Upsells orders to enhance guest experience and generate additional revenue.
• Operate POS system (TOAST) accurately and handle cash/credit transactions responsibly
• Process payments accurately (cash, credit cards)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area & stations, including restocking supplies
• Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service
• Assist servers with drink orders for dining areas and outdoor patio service
• Support banquet and tournament events hosted at the golf course
• Conduct opening and closing duties, including inventory checks and side work
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
The Nitty Gritty
• At least one year of bartending related education, training and/or experience. Golf course experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system (TOAST)
• Working knowledge and ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks & food items.
• Working knowledge of the proper operation of all bar equipment.
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
• Current County Food Handler’s License and Class 12 State Mixologist Permit required
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to work A.M. or P.M. shifts including weekends & holidays. Open availability is preferred.
• Position is “on-call” status and weekly hours will vary depending on business needs & demand. This role is expected to a year-round position.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
