NY BI Maintenance Manager

Purpose: To provide effective and inspiring leadership within the Property Services department, while maintaining the Bible Institute facilities and supporting the overall strategic plan and goals of Word of Life and its ministry divisions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage maintenance for the Bible Institute, from within the Property Services department.
• Utilize ePAC to:
  • Review Work orders.
  • Manage backlogs
  • Create daily schedules
  • Manage budgets
  • Track overall metrics.
• Drive reliability within the Bible Institute area.
• Identify opportunities to reduce equipment and facility failures through the creation of Preventive and Predictive maintenance plans.
• Manage maintenance projects including schedules and budgets.
• Provide management of team members.
• Attend and contribute at Property Services staff meetings where:
  • Goals are communicated
  • Results are reviewed
  • Spiritual maturity is fostered
  • Team work is expected
• Build and encourage strong partnerships and integration with the Bible Institute staff.
• Manage budgets and expenses utilizing best practices to result in maximum results at the lowest possible costs.
• Identify and develop future leadership.

Key Expectations:

• Communicate regularly with the Property Services manager concerning vision, progress towards goals, growth and opportunities.
• Embrace and encourage the overall purposes and philosophy of Word of Life.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships and communication with peers.
• Develop and Mentor direct reports.
• Continually improve the condition and reliability of the Bible Institute facilities.

Qualifications:

• A passion for and growth relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Be in agreement with Word of Life’s vision, mission, Statement of Faith and Standard of Conduct.
• A God-given call into ministry.
• Be able to carry up to 75 pounds.
• Be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working at heights.
• A proven commitment to working accident free.
• Experience with and proven manager of budgets and finances.
• A minimum of three years of experience leading a team, with strong management, communication, planning and relationship-building skills.
