Nutrition Assistant III

Overview

Utah State University Extension's Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is seeking a qualified individual to work part-time (20 - 30 hours per week) in a benefitted position. Located in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber or Utah County

Responsibilities

• Teaching nutrition and cooking skills to limited income families and youth. Training and teaching materials will be provided.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• A basic knowledge of nutrition and food preparation is recommended.
• Job requires willingness to learn, work well with people, keep records and do reports.
• Internet access and some skill with computers and other electronic devices is necessary.
• Must be willing to obtain Food Handler's permit within one month of hire.
• Flexible hours
• Car and current insurance, valid driver's license or access to transportation to meet with clients required. Must adhere to the University Travel and Driving Policies. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
