As a Nurse Extern, you will be responsible for the following:
Performs specific tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Demonstrates accountability for assigned patients on shift or assignment.
Seeks out learning opportunities and guidance from appropriate individuals.
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern will carry out routine patient care assignments, work in controlled care situations, and perform established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients.
Qualifications include:
Must be able to work full time hours.
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Duration: 8 weeks
NURSING STUDENTS WHO GRADUATE IN DECEMBER 2026 OR MAY 2027 WILL BE ACCEPTED INTO THIS PROGRAM
1. Education & Training: Student currently enrolled in an accredited college of nursing. You will be required to provide transcripts.
2. Experience & Training: Successful completion of Fundamentals in Nursing, completion of at least one medical surgical clinical rotation, and clinical skills lab from an accredited professional nursing program.
3. License, Certification & Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
4. Other Requirements: Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
