Description

The Northern Safety Coordinator at Washita Valley Enterprises, Inc. is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures within operations. This role ensures that all safety regulations are adhered to, promoting a safe and compliant working environment for all employees in the northern region. This is an entry level safety sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Conduct monthly safety training for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of safety practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Monitor and ensure the availability and proper use of safety equipment and personal protective gear.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and issues in the northern operations.
- Prepare safety reports 

Stormwater gathering from various WVEI northern locations and work with in house environmental specialist

Qualifications

Required Experience:
- Entry level experience in safety.  Pipe inspection and FMCSA knowledge a plus.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

- Stormwater knowledge a plus

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Entry level knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present safety information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to promote a culture of safety.
- Problem-solving skills 
- Ability to travel to various site locations as required.

Trainer certifications in Safeland and All terrain (Class 7) forklifts/manlifts a plus. Will train if necessary,
