As the Northeast Kitchen Operations Lead, you will ensure that every Anduril location from Massachusetts to the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) region delivers attentive, friendly, and efficient service, embodying our commitment to excellence.
ABOUT THE JOB
In this role, you will direct and organize our Food and Beverage program, maintaining a consistently high standard of service while implementing food safety protocols, managing multiple vendors, and optimizing processes. You’ll cultivate a positive work environment that thrives on innovation and teamwork.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Uphold the high standards of Anduril's food program across all locations.
- Ensure food safety in kitchenettes and serveries through unannounced inspections and audits, promoting cleanliness and organization. Embrace a "good ideas can come from anywhere" mentality to improve SOPs continuously.
- Collaborate with senior management and the Global Food and Beverage Director to plan and implement changes that align with our scaling needs.
- Partner with various departments to address daily requests efficiently.
- Work alongside EHS, Events, Recruiting, and People teams to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Travel up to 50% to support Northeast regional sites.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in restaurant, bar, banquet-style catering, or kitchen management.
- A positive, service-oriented attitude with a self-motivated, energetic, and flexible approach. You should be a cultural ambassador with a sense of urgency and a solution-focused mindset.
- At least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced startup, hospitality, or corporate catering environment, emphasizing high-level customer service.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable interacting across all levels of the organization, from janitorial staff to C-suite executives.
- Maintain applicable certifications, including ServSafe Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
- Quick and accurate decision-making skills to evaluate alternative courses of action.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities, anticipating and addressing issues before they escalate.
- Expect to be on your feet most of the day, walking and directing rather than sitting behind a laptop.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally push/pull carts and equipment weighing over 300 lbs.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in event planning or operations roles.
- Reporting and data analytics experience.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, PowerPoint, Microsoft Suite, Jira, Airtable, Slack, Quip, Zoom, Office Space, Asana, and Box.
- Prior experience in kitchen operations within a tech startup.
